I have worked a few wedding events, but this first one holds most dear to my heart as it was for my own wedding. I created everything myself from the graphic design to the video screens and everything in between. This included the invites, RSVPs, wedding weekend welcome packets, table assignments, menus, cocktail cards, thank you cards, photobooth backdrop, elevator screens, video montage behind the wedding party table, and screens throughout the room.
The design was intended to match the color palette of the wedding - matching the white, silver, and black of the two grooms along with the lighting in the venue space, which was lit beautifully with shades of blue. The theme was a modern take on a red carpet, merging NYC & STL for an elegant and refined evening.
This wedding was a unique one because the concept changed about two weeks before the event. It started as more of a church-hall wedding, but the bride was not happy with the overall direction. She really wanted to infuse the event with her Mexican heritage - from the decorations to the photobooth to the final wedding video. Very quickly, we wasted no time to transform this wedding, making custom signage for the photbooth and decorations around the room - turning the color palette from white and grey to rainbow overnight. For the video, budget was tight, so I was engaged to edit the video shot by the guests! We handed out a flyer to guests telling them where to upload and got a range of videos from all types of formats. Definitely one of the craziest weddings I have edited!
